The U.S. is up to its dirty tricks as it once again pulls out all the stops in a bid to protect Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorists, whom it deems as its “allies.”
Six countries-- Egypt, France, Germany, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom—spearheaded by the United States made a joint declaration in a bid to stall Turkey’s upcoming military operation in Syria saying, “There is no military solution for Syria and no alternative to a political solution.”
A possible mission east of the Euphrates, which Turkey’s leadership has been suggesting for months, would follow two successful cross-border Turkish operations into Syria since 2016 – Operation Euphrates Shield and Operation Olive Branch – both meant to eradicate the presence of YPG/PKK and Daesh terrorists near Turkey’s borders.
The scandalous statement published on Wednesday went as far as accusing Turkey of “destabilizing the region.”
“We affirm in the strongest terms that those who seek to destabilize the region or seek a military solution will only succeed in increasing the risk of a dangerous escalation and wider conflagration in the region,” the statement read, alluding to Turkey’s upcoming military op.
President Donald Trump made the unexpected decision in December to withdraw all 2,000 U.S. troops from Syria, drawing criticism from many allies and security aides, including his own Cabinet.
The U.S. and Turkey have been working on a plan, the Manbij deal, which focuses on the withdrawal of YPG/PKK terrorists from the city to stabilize the region, which is located in the northern part of Syria’s Aleppo province.
Turkey's waiting will come to an end if Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists do not leave Syria's Manbij "in a few weeks," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Tuesday.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States. The YPG and PYD are its Syrian extensions.
