A viral video that has been making the rounds in Guinea and abroad that purported to show Guinean President Alpha Conde beating a minister has turned out to be a fake.

The footage falsely claimed that it depicted Guinean President Alpha Conde beating the Minister of Labor in the middle of the street, allegedly for “showing weakness.”

The video in question is not of President Conde

However, the man in the viral video that rapidly spread across the internet, including Turkey, turned out to actually be an African businessman that was beating his employee in front of his bodyguards.

Will they issue an apology?

This has led many to question whether the social media accounts that helped spread the video online will issue an apology for trying to mislead public opinion.
