All the activity of these countries, the circles and formations with which these armed elements are in alliance in the region should be restricted, prevented, and eliminated.

We are no longer in the period of speaking, thinking and acting with a sectarian identity, ethnic identity, or partnerships made for personal gains. At a time when multinational invaders are piling weapons in an area of hundreds of kilometers long along Turkey’s border, limiting the perception of the region to terrorist organizations and linking to ethnic identity is suicide.

Those organizations are merely extensions, hitmen of the multinational invasion’s plan to divide nations. They too should be treated like external threats, as invasion forces. Because they have become the enemies of all the countries and nations in the region as well as the region’s political history.

The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and Daesh are all as such and finally, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Masoud Barzani has also joined them. These circles and organizations are, by establishing regional effectiveness through identities, preparing the ground for a Western invasion and paving the way for the division of the region. This is leading to results as destructive as the invasion of Iraq and working like a foreign element as much as the Western armies that invaded Iraq.

There is no doubt that these organizations will assume the role they undertook in Iraq and Syria against both Iran and Turkey tomorrow. Every country that ignores this possibility is going to forfeit its future. Every political vision and movement that fails to see this open threat and take a stance against it will have no future. Everybody, every country trying to cooperate with these organizations is going to destroy half of the region and contribute to the spread of the Western invasion throughout the entire region.

While the geography of the 21st century is being reshaped, the entire region is invaded by those coming from the outside, new maps are being passed on from table to table and division projects are being initiated for every country, it cannot be imagined that a country like Turkey which has centuries of political experience be doomed to a political stance, in the strict sense, between organizations. It is out of the question that a security policy is determined according to Barzani, according to the PKK/PYD, according to Daesh.

It is an obligation for Turkey to take action with historical depth, taking into consideration the region as a whole, with the political mind ongoing since the Seljuks. Because this is the only key to Turkey’s future, its integrity and the only way to break the multidimensional siege aimed at our country and overcoming that jealousy.

As this is the case, while the world is in an incredible power showdown, while all the fault lines from Eastern Europe to the Pacific have become active, while nuclear doom scenarios are being discussed, while the future of even the most powerful countries can be debated, multinational partnerships like the European Union are falling apart, the international system has completely collapsed, while it is clear that a world-scale restructuring and new power map is going to be formed, Turkey limiting itself to Barzani’s petty plans and the PKK/PYD’s terror games alone would be major political blindness.

Those trying to squeeze all these problems within the ethnic debate, trying to steer Turkey in this direction, attempting to weaken that political mind are all partners of that multinational invasion; they are their elements in Turkey.

Our millennium-old history was ensured through rational decisions, and the realist operations we conducted at these critical intersections. It was made possible by overcoming all agitations and enticements and skills in interpreting history, the region and the future. Turkey will, once again, overcome the zone of evil in the north of Syria and Iraq, the outside threat set to destroy it through the same methods; it will act with that profound political mind. This is also its only choice. This is what history-making will, legacy, genetics is. Hence, both the threat and defense are huge and its impact will spread through centuries.

Turkish troops entering Idlib is not an ordinary security operation, it is the product of this mind. It is the effort not only to ensure Syria’s territorial integrity, but also to prevent the new region and map formation. Seeing it through this perception, it cannot be considered to remain limited to Idlib. Efforts that will eliminate the outside invasion in Afrin, the U.S./PKK presence in Ayn el-Arab, the presence of all terrorist and foreign powers along the hundreds of kilometers long border, and the U.S./Israel’s invasion in northern Iraq, are the only actions to follow from now on.

The Idlib move is a “game-changer self-defense” effort aimed at the plans of the U.S. and terrorist organizations in the region aiming to siege Turkey, to close in on it and then intervening both internally and externally. Unless it spreads to Afrin and the eastern areas of that terrorist corridor, this operation will fail and the desired result will not be achieved.

Just as the Euphrates Shied was the most serious geopolitical move after the Cyprus Peace Operation, just as it has significantly delayed the “malicious partnership’s” plan both within and outside the region, this operation will also completely ruin that game and it must continue until the game is exposed and fails.

As long as it is not sabotaged both internally and externally. As long as caution is taken against the internal Barzani intelligence network and PYD cryptos. As long as the perplexing interventions of the partnership of the coalition of allies and terrorists are not allowed. As long as the operation does not remain limited to Idlib and expands to the invasion regions established further east aimed at sieging Turkey.

Turkey is strong enough to ruin this game. It has the political mind and future foresight necessary for this. The political will is rooted in historical experience and the realities of the region. Giving the utmost power to this will is our duty.

We are at a historic junction point. We are seeing history turn for the first time after World War I, the West’s stagnation, the East’s rise, Turkey’s liberation from tutelage, the Atlantic alliance losing its power to control the world, and certain fault lines in the West and East breaking worse than in the Middle East.

This historic change was brought to us through two options: We are either going to diminish or throw down the gauntlet and grow. Diminishing is being excluded from history, it is our destruction. To grow, we need to be brave and issue a challenge. Nobody dare scare us with someone else’s anger. Nobody dare try to beat us with others’ sticks. That era is over. You exist as far as your hand can reach. If you are reaching your fingers inward rather than out, you are bringing the war into Turkey, you are calling it. Our index finger is pointing out.

We will not waste the opportunity that came to us a century later. We are not going to be fooled by the invasion operations that come through the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), the PKK or any other organization. We will be vigilant; we are going to keep the challenge axis constantly active. The Idlib operation was an obligation both for Syria’s integrity and to form a strong security shield for Turkey. We have to carry this shield all the way to the border with Iran. 

Because this is the only way we can stop the biggest invasion map after World War I. We started the fight with the Euphrates Shield. We started it with the Idlib operation. We are going to continue it in the future with other operations. We are not going to allow our voices to be silenced, our knees to shake, or our hearts to be filled with fear.

A “Turkey Shield” from the Mediterranean to the border with Iran is the only way to eliminate the “Zone of Evil” the multinational invaders are trying to establish.
