A Turkish delegation will visit Moscow to meet representatives from the Russian Agricultural Products Inspection Agency (Rosselkhoznadzor) for the first time since last November's jet crisis.

Deputy chair of the Rosselkhoznadzor, Aleksey Alekseenko, said on Wednesday they invited the Turkish delegation to discuss the future of Turkish fruit and vegetable shipments to Russia.

Alekseenko told Russian Ria Novosti news agency that the Turkish authorities had accepted their written invitation and they would visit Moscow on April 26.

The security system of Turkish fruit and vegetable shipments, including laboratory controls, will be discussed in the meeting, Alekseenko said.

Next week's meeting will be the first Turkey-Russia official meeting since the Russian military aircraft was downed by Turkish F-16 fighter jets after repeated violations of Turkish airspace near the Syrian border in November last year.

In a reaction to the Turkish move, which Ankara said it had done to protect its airspace security, Russia imposed several sanctions against Turkish goods, including imports of produce and other agricultural products, and cancelled the visa-free regime.
