As many as 168 Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) terrorists have been killed in anti-PKK operations in the cities of Mardin, Şırnak, Bitlis and Diyarbakır over the past eight days.
The coordinated raids, jointly held the police and the military, were carried out across Cizre and Silopi districts in Şırnak; Dargeçit and Nusaybin in Mardin, Diyarbakır's Dur district and Bitlis city, according to local security sources.
The operation left 113 PKK terrorists dead in Cizre. One PKK terrorist was captured alive in the same restive region.
Nine were killed in Silopi, 23 in Sur, 16 in Dargeçit, three in Nusaybin, and four in Bitlis as part of the ongoing anti-terror operation.
