Arrest warrants have been issued for 73 soldiers in 17 Turkish provinces as part of the investigation against the coupist Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) that was initiated after the coup bid of July 15.
Police are making a search at the Konya 3rd Main Jet Base Command over the Konya Prosecutor's decision.
The soldiers are pilots, of which 71 of them are lieutenants, according to the sources.
Turkey has been conducting an extensive investigation on FETÖ following the coup bid of July 15, which targeted the democratically-elected Turkish government.
More than 40,000 people were detained in the investigation following the coup bid, which it blames on the terrorist organization headed by Fetullah Gülen.
