At least 10 PKK terrorists killed in eastern Turkey; curfew in effect

More than ten PKK terrorists in Mardin's Derik town where a curfew is in force for 6 days

Military operations killed at least 10 members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Mardin province's Derik town, where a curfew has been declared for 6 days.



Soldiers and policemen attempted to remove barricades set up by the PKK, destroy the explosive traps and fill the excavated ditches.



The terrorists are known to attack ambulances; therefore, security measures were ramped up in the town to safeguard the people who need medical treatment.



The transformers damaged from the terror attacks are being repaired.



Until now, more than 5,000 people have left their houses because of the ongoing terror attacks.



Air-supported operation in Diyarbakır


Meanwhile, in Diyarbakır province's Sur town, an air-supported operation was launched against the PKK.



The operations aims to remove barricades erected by members of the organization, dismantle booby traps, and fill the excavated ditches.



In Sur, one PKK terrorist was killed and one policeman was injured. The police officer was taken to Dicle University Hospital.
