A court in Istanbul indicted 46 Daesh suspects Wednesday for their alleged involvement in the deadly attack on the Istanbul Ataturk International airport in June 2016, according to a judicial source.

On June 28, 2016, a total of 45 people were killed and more than 200 others injured when three suicide bombers blew themselves up at the international terminal in Istanbul.

The Bakirkoy Second High Criminal Court accepted the 262-page indictment demanding aggrevated life sentences for the suspects for attempting to overthrow the constitutional order and intentional murder, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, said.

The Bakirkoy Public Prosecutor's Office, which prepared the indictment, charged the suspects also with being members of an armed terrorist organization, establishing and managing a terror group, plotting intentional murder and damaging property. It seperately demanded between 2,132 and 3,342 years of imprisonment for the suspects.

Forty-one suspects in the case are currently in custody, while arrest warrants have been issued for the remaining four.
