Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party’s group meeting on Tuesday addressed the presence of the terrorist organizations in Turkey and said that each attack revealed their true colors.

“The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) functions only as a tool. Daesh is a terrorist organization of bloody-minded murderers, which has nothing to do with Islam, and is being used to realize plots regarding our region.”

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.

Developments in the Middle East

He addressed the recent developments in the Middle East and stated that they reflected a deep-seated structuring and stated that they were not random.

Noting that these developments have some aspects that concerns Turkey Erdoğan said, “Turkey, maybe for the first time since the War of Independence, showed its will against the games being played. Our people have chosen great and strong Turkey,” he added.

Fight against FETÖ

Erdoğan said that the Turkish nation discovered the true face of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) on the Dec. 17-25 probe plots. He said the organization infiltrated into the state institutions and added: “We are now in a purging and recovering period. We will proceed on our way after we implement what is necessary under the rule of law.”

First domestically-produced car

On economy, Erdoğan pointed out that the year of 2018 will be an efficient year in terms of tourism, and that Turkey is making a breakthrough in the industry.

Erdoğan stressed that Turkey’s first domestically-produced car project will serve as the locomotive of AK Party’s fourth breakthrough era. President Erdoğan on Nov. 2 announced that five automotive supplier firms will jointly manufacture Turkey’s first car and said, “Such high-tech projects greatly effect their own industries and other areas as well,” he noted.

New system in customs

Turkey’s Customs and Trade Ministry on Friday announced its “Application for Tracking and Analytical Performance of Customs Goods” (GET-APP). Erdoğan said that this application will ease import and export and will allow the tracking of goods on mobile. “The new system in customs enables fast and cost-efficient monitoring. Companies exporting over a certain amount will be provided consulting services," he said.
