The PKK, which has close links with the PYD, has waged a war against Turkey since 1984 that flared anew this summer. Turkey, the European Union and the United States all list the PKK as a terrorist organisation.

At the joint press conferece with President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, Erdoğan on refugee crisis said that, Turkey has spent approximately $7.8 million in its attempts to accomodate the refugees.

The president also said that, there are some steps that should be taken in the region, the first one is the train and equip program, a terror-free zone and a no-fly zone.
