Police stopped a car on the İskenderun-Antakya highway.
Five members of the Daesh terrorist organization were neutralized in an operation launched by the police department in Turkey’s southern province of Hatay.
The Hatay Police Department and the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) closely followed the suspects identified as Daesh terrorists, according to reports.
Police stopped a car on the İskenderun-Antakya highway, and four out of the five terrorists in the car surrendered. One suspect was shot in the leg after he tried to attack the police officers.
Bomb squads continue to search the car.
