The Turkish General Staff on Monday released a statement saying five terrorists were killed in clashes with security forces in the eastern provinces of Van and Hakkari.
According to the Turkish General Staff, four PKK terrorists were killed during the clashes between PKK and security forces in the town of Varto in Muş province, while the other terrorist was killed in Turkey's southeastern Şemdinli district of the Hakkari province.
Turkey's military and police have been hit by a number of attacks over the past week following the ISIL-linked suicide bombing in Suruç, Şanlıurfa province, that killed 32 people on July 20.
