A rear-end car collision killed a Japanese reporter on a motorway near the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa on Thursday, the police reported.
Police said the car, in which Kazumi Takaya was travelling, rear ended a truck near Şanlıurfa’s former airport, closed to flights in 2007.
The collision took place on the motorway connecting the border town of Akçakale to the central province.
Takaya succumbed to his wounds later at the hospital despite frantic efforts by the medics to save him, while his driver died on the spot.
