As tension increases in eastern Turkey between the PKK terrorists and Turkish security forces, fear also mounted among the public, because people in the cities are being threatened by the PKK. On Monday night, members of the PKK stopped about 300 vehicles on the roads in the eastern province of Tunceli.

The armed members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) searched the vehicles and passengers, and then set fire to three vehicles.

Meanwhile, a minibus driver was killed early on Monday morning by the PKK terrorists in Erzurum. It was reported that the driver was killed while trying to get away after the terrorists released him.

Turkey's military and police have been hit by a number of attacks over the past week following the ISIL-linked suicide bombing in Suruç, Şanlıurfa province, that killed 32 people on July 20.

The PKK, which is considered a terrorist group by Turkey and much of the international community, including the United States and the European Union, has been involved in a separatist struggle with Turkey since the early 1980s.

Turkey blames the group for the deaths of thousands of people.
