Turkish Armed Forces conducted 24 air strikes against pro-Kurdish PKK militants' targets in the Dağlıca and Yüksekova districts of Hakkâri province, including the southern Turkish city of Dağlıca, on Tuesday, the Turkish military statement said.
Dozens of PKK strongholds, shelters and barracks were destroyed in the air attack, it detailed.
Two PKK militants surrender, one found dead
The armed forces statement said that two members of the separatist terrorist organization had surrendered to security forces on the same day.
Another militant was found dead in Yüksekova along with a Kalashnikov rifle, five full magazines, one RPG-7 rocket launcher, two hand grenades and one mortar shell.
Meanwhile, bomb attacks by the militant group targeting security officials as well as civilians occurred late Tuesday in two separate incidents in Hakkarı; 2 military officials were killed and several were wounded, including two citizens.
