Turkish security forces continue with big blows at the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır as they killed a total of 196 terrorist so far since a sweeping operation started more than two month ago.

Turkish General Staff said in a statement released on its website Sunday that security personnel killed six more terrorists in Diyarbakır's Sur district. The military statement said the terrorists were killed in an operation launched on Saturday. This figure brings the total number of total terrorist killed in the city to 196, it said.

In Cizre, another district in the southeast in Şırnak province, two members of the terrorist group have been captured by Turkish military on the same day, the statement read. The army also seized several weapons and ammunition.

Meanwhile, a suspected Daesh member was also captured by the military while crossing illegally into another Turkish border province, Şanlıurfa, the military said.

In recent days Turkey is launching a multi-pronged attack against terrorism. It launched a “sweeping operation” against PKK terrorists in southeastern Turkey, while police detained dozens of terror suspects across the country.

Moreover, as an important power of the U.S.-led anti-Daesh coalition, Turkey continues its counter-Daesh fights inside Turkey and in Syria. And recently, Turkish military has launched a heavy blow on several targets of Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorists, a PKK affiliated group in northern Syria.
