Turkish military kills 35 more PKK terrorists

The Turkish military reported it killed at least 35 members of the separatist terrorist organization in ongoing operations in southeastern Turkey and Iraq

At least 35 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist organization have been killed in a military operation in the Mardin, Hakkari, Şırnak and Kars provinces of the country's southeast and Northern Iraq, Turkish General Staff said in a statement on Sunday.



According to the statement, two PKK terrorists were killed in the Nusaybin district of Mardin while eight more were killed in Şırnak. Moreover, joint military operations saw three PKK members dead in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari, with four dead in the Sarıkamış district of Kars, with five other terrorists surrendering to security forces in the Silopi district of Şırnak, the statement read.



In a cross-border bombing on Mount Qandil in Northern Iraq, the so-called headquarters of the terror group, killed 18 terrorists, according to the military statement.



Military also captured one terrorist and three PKK collaborators and confiscated huge amounts of ammunition and weapons, including shotguns, blank firing guns, M16 rifles, AK-47 rifles, RPG-7 rocket launchers, Kalashnikovs and handmade explosives.
