President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has spoken out against the parties, particularly the United Nations, which called on Turkey to open their doors to the refugees trying to escape Aleppo amid recent Assad regime and Russian airstrikes.

"These call are insincere of them. If it were that easy, what would be your role? How much have you (UN) contributed to the solution process of the crisis so far? We are not suckers. Instead of calling us to do something, they have to make more effort," Erdoğan said during a speech at the Young Businessmen's Confederation of Turkey.

"It is hypocritical to remind Turkey of its responsibilities. Turkey has done more than anybody else, as can be seen by the number of refugees accepted by each country. Our patience has a limit. We would do whatever needed and send the refugees to the these countries," Erdoğan added.

"Our civilization is based on mercy and compassion and our land has been a symbol of brotherhood for centuries. We don't receive anyone as foreigners, but as guests," said Erdoğan criticizing the xenophobic and racist tendencies in Europe.

'Source of pride, not shame'

Erdoğan who also touched the leak of the document revealing talks between European Union and Turkish officials, said that “The leak is a source of pride, not shame."

"Without the establishment of a security zone and no-fly zone, these crises cannot be overcome. Turkey will continue its efforts in the solution process," Erdoğan added.

Erdoğan also mentioned the inconsistent attitude of the United States, which does not recognize the Democratic Union Party (PYD) as a terror organization.

Erdoğan's harsh comments followed the words of State Department spokesman John Kirby, that the US does not recognize the PYD as a terrorist organization and it will continue with PYD as a coalition in the fight against Daesh.

The Syrian civil war continues to take civilians' lives. More than 500 people, including around 100 civilians, have been killed since a major Russian-backed regime offensive began in Syria's Aleppo province February 1, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Wednesday.
