Turkish warplanes hit Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist targets in the Dağlıca region of Turkish Hakkari province and Northern Iraq.
As many as 10 terrorists were killed while their vehicles, arsenals and caves were destroyed in the two-day-long operation, conducted on 16-17 May.
The neutralized terrorists included a woman sniper, according to the military sources.
The operation, which included the Avaşin/Basyan, İşange Tepe regions, was supported by the Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher (MLRS) batteries.
One dock, one sniper rifle canasta, one Bixi machine gun, one Kalashnikov, one generator and a large number of household materials were seized in the caves in which terrorists had been hiding.
Turkey has been conducting both air and ground operations against PKK terrorists in southeastern Turkey and Northern Iraq since July 2015, when the PKK took up arms again, ending the cease-fire with Ankara.
More than 5,000 terrorists have been neutralized both in Turkey and Northern Iraq, according to the recent official Turkish figures.
