A soldier and a village guard were slightly wounded in a clash with PKK terrorists in the southeastern Mardin province on Tuesday, a security source said.
The two were injured during a counter-terrorism operation against the terror group in a rural area of the Omerli district, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media.
Anti-terror operations are ongoing in the region.
More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
