Turkish photographer Aydın Büyüktaş turns the streets of Istanbul upside down in photographs that appear to curve infinitely upward and outward toward the skies. While it's tempting to draw parallels with stunning visuals from the movie Inception, the artist says he was inspired by Edwin Abbat's book “Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions." “We live in places that most of the time don't draw our attention, places that transform our memories, places that the artist gives another dimension; when the perceptions that generally crosses our minds will be demolished and new ones will arise," Büyükbaş says about his series “Flatland."
