Turkish professional motorcycle racer Kenan Sofuoğlu won the 2016 Supersport World Championship for the fifth time after his Swiss rival Randy Krummenacher went out of play.
Sofuoğlu's victory came after the 11th race of the season which was being hosted by Spain.
Sofuoğlu was to become champion if he became one of the first eight in the race.
The famous racer had previously said that he would dedicate his championship to his son Mahir.
