Turkish First Lady Emine Erdoğan treated the first ladies of D-8 leaders to lunch as they took a tour of the Bosphorus on the sidelines of the summit hosted in Istanbul. The first lady was joined on the cruise by Family and Social Politics Minister Betül Kaya; Hülya Çavuşoğlu, wife of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu; Esra Albayrak, wife of Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak; and Deputy head of the Women and Democracy Association (KADEM) Sümmeyye Bayraktar.
