The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) has said that it conducted an airstrike on the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the Zap district of northern Iraq, neutralizing 23.
The operation was conducted on Monday from 2:42 a.m. to 2:59 a.m., according to the TAF.
The military said the airstrike was conducted on a tip and that it prevented the PKK terrorists from conducting an attack.
Turkish forces have been conducting intensive operations, both air and land, in southeastern Turkey and northern Iraq where PKK terrorists are based.
Since July 2015, as many as 10,000 PKK terrorists have been killed or otherwise neutralized.
