The Baghdad administration, which had not taken any single step against the Daesh terror group in Mosul in the last two years, is allegedly playing a dangerous game under the guise of the Mosul operation.

The Washington administration, which has been playing the Iraqi PM as its puppet, is pushing the Iraqi government to engage in war with Turkey.

While all attention should be focused on the Mosul operation and military progress, the Iraqi government issued a scandal arrest warrant for ex-Mosul governor Atheel al-Nujaifi, who was the founder of Nineveh Guard forces who are currently fighting in the frontline of the Mosul operation.

Nujaifi has been Mosul governor since the Iraqi army withdrew from the city and handed over the power to Daesh terror group in 2014.

The Iraqi Federal Court has recently accused al-Nujaifi of providing assistance to Turkey, espionage and facilitating the entry of Turkish forces into Iraq.

But Turkey said it was the Baghdad administration who invited Turkish forces into Iraq and requested them to train Iraqi and local forces for fighting against Daesh.

In a Facebook post, Nujaifi said that the Mosul offensive was the priority at this time, and that his Turkish-trained forces would be fighting alongside the Iraqi army for Mosul. He downplayed the accusation, saying he would leave the issue to those interested in “trivia" until “the dust of war" is settled and the matter can be dealt with legally.

Despite the last two years' presence of Turkish troops in Bashiqa camp, Iraqi Prime Minister Haydar al-Abadi brought the issue to the forefront and made an artificial dispute with Ankara.

Turkish leaders repeatedly vowed that Turkish forces would stay in Bashiqa camp near Mosul as long as needed.

US: a Turkey-Iraq war is possible

The U.S. administration that is playing the game behind the curtain threatened Ankara openly saying that a Turkey-Iraq war is possible.

Meanwhile, Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr called on his militia groups for assault on Turkish troops.

Experts: operation is to prepare for a Turkey-Iraq war

All these statements and remarks made the Turkish troops' presence in Bashiqa a larger issue than the Mosul operation, as experts think that the Mosul operation is not against Daesh, but a plot against Turkey, or to prepare the ground for a Turkey-Iraq war.

In the meantime, U.S. Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump accused that the Mosul operation was launched in order to amass the Americans' support for Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton.
