Euphrates Shield Op destroys 339 Daesh targets

Turkish Armed Forces neutralizes 46 Daesh terrorists in Syria

Turkish Armed Forces said that, as part of the ongoing Turkey-led operations in northern Syria, 339 Daesh targets were destroyed and 46 terrorists were neutralized .



A total of 21 Daesh targets were destroyed in airstrikes across al-Bab, Bzagah and Kabbasin in northern Syria as part of the ongoing Euphrates Shield Operation, military sources said on Saturday.



The targets included 17 buildings used as shelters, one mortar and one armored vehicle.



Over the past 24 hours, 46 terrorists were neutralized, 16 of whom were wounded, and two armed vehicles were destroyed.



The Turkish Armed Forces also launched attacks on Daesh in the field in northery Syria, destroying 318 targets.



The Turkish-led Euphrates Shield Operation, aided by the Free Syrian Army (FSA), was launched in late August to improve security, support coalition forces, and eliminate the terror threat along Turkey's border.



Saturday marks the 151st day of the operation. The Euphrates Shield Operation cleared an area of 1,100 square kilometers within its first 50 days, and has since secured an area of 2,000 square kilometers.
