Manbij – Al-Bab route under control: Turkish army

Turkey-backed Syrian opposition forces took control of the road between Manbij and al-Bab

As many as 10 Daesh targets were eliminated as part of the Operation Euphrates Shield.



Free Syrian Army (FSA) forces together with the Turkish army, largely captured the Manbij – al-Bab highway.



Turkey launched the operation in August, sending tanks, airplanes and troops to back moderate Syrian opposition.



After pushing Daesh terrorists back from Turkey's Syrian border, the Ankara-backed opposition have moved towards al-Bab, the last urban stronghold of the Daesh terror organization in the northern Aleppo countryside.





34 Daesh targets destroyed in Syria


Meanwhile, 34 Daesh targets were destroyed in the ongoing Euphrates Shield operation which entered its 108th day.



The Turkish military said that 21 shelters, two armored vehicles, 5 ammunition and 6 control points of the terrorist organization were destroyed.
