The United States and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist organization took action after Turkey launched an operation in Idlib on Oct. 7. The PKK-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorists held simultaneous meetings on Oct. 8 in Afrin, Tell Abyad, Manbij and Ayn al-Arab, which have been occupied by the PKK. In the meetings the organization decided to send more terrorists to all regions at Turkish borders, particularly Afrin, and pointed out that the main target of the Turkish military, which has advanced to Idlib, is Afrin and the PKK, and warned its terrorists to be “ready for war.”

Turkey on target

According to Yeni Şafak sources, the PKK/PYD’s so-called commander, a terrorist codenamed “Renas” said the Idlib operation is an attempt to isolate the PYD in Afrin. “Any offensive in Afrin will be considered as an attack on an autonomous region. Our allies from the United States and Europe made a commitment on this issue. Our political and military preparations against Turkey continues with the support of our long-time allies,” said the terrorist. “The PYD units will be ready for an attack from the border line and we will launch a direct strike on Turkey,” he added.

In the meetings, the PKK/PYD also decided to transfer terrorists to the border line from Manbij, Ashrafiyye, Sheikh Makhsoud and new occupation regions. The terrorist organization will recruit people between the ages of 16 to 40 from the regions, where mostly Turkmens and Arabs reside, and the terrorists at checkpoints in rear guards will be positioned for an attack along the border, according to the meeting.

‘Urgent meetings’ in four regions

The “urgent meetings” that the PYD terrorist organization held in four regions noted that the arms sent by the U.S. through the Iraqi line to Al-Hasakah-Rmelan will be dispatched to the “secure” points in the border region. Tow anti-tank missiles and long-range missiles will be prioritized among the arms and ammunition to be deployed to the border. The PKK ringleaders, planning to strike Turkish tanks and artillery batteries with regular harassing fire, pointed out that they will persist until Turkey gives up the Idlib intervention and Afrin siege.

PKK/PYD to cause chaos

The PYD terrorist organization also addressed “some attacks planned to be organized in Turkey” in the extraordinary meetings. They said that in the case that Afrin is isolated, a full-scale revolt will be staged in Turkey, and Turkish troops will have to leave Idlib due to the chaos. The terrorists will launch sabotage attacks particularly in the Turkish provinces of Kilis, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Mardin and Hatay, which will be claimed by the PKK/PYD. The PKK claims that it has formed suicide squads consisting only of Syrians to launch attacks in Turkey, and sent scouts to the country in order to locate attack points. The meeting also addressed the plan to turn the PKK ringleader Abdullah Öcalan’s detention anniversary into a turmoil.

Meanwhile, the first harassment attempt of the terrorist organization in the aftermath of the meetings came in Tell Abyad. The Turkish Armed Forces immediately responded to the PYD terrorists who struck Turkish positions with long-barreled weapons. Tensions are still high in the region.
