Russia's President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to dismiss 16 generals from the Interior Ministry, Emergency Situations Ministry and the Investigative Committee.
The reason for the staff change has not yet been revealed.
Two of the generals were not only removed from their duty, but also dismissed from military service.
