Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has harshly criticized Russia for its aggressive policies on Ukraine and Syria and said that Turkey and Ukraine stand together against Russia's aggressive policies.

"Russia has been violating the territorial integrity of Ukraine and refusing the annexation of the Crimea. Crimea is a part of Ukraine and the homeland of the Crimean Tatars," said Davutoğlu during the joint press conference with Ukrainian counterpart Arseniy Yatsenyuk in the capital, Kiev.

"The Soviet era was over 25 years ago. The attempts of Russia to revive the Soviet era will not have positive consequences for it. Also the Russian people will not accept any moves by Moscow with the confidence of the veto decisions of the United Nations (UN), " Davutoğlu said.

"Today, the territorial integrity of three countries, Georgia, Ukraine and Syria, are in danger; Azerbaijan is also facing similar threats," said the Turkish PM.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said they cannot trust Russia, confirming Turkish PM Davutoğlu.

Statements amid Russian airstrikes

The statements came amid Russia's airstrikes on the northern Azaz town of Aleppo, following Turkey's bombing of Democratic Union Party (PYD) points.

Davutoğlu also mentioned the Russian airstrike which had killed at least 14 people, targeting 10 separate points including a school.

"Assad regime, Russia, People's Protection Units (YPG) and others have been committing war crimes in Syria. However, no Turkish troops are in Syria now, as they have never been an occupier," Davutoğlu said.
