Three mosques have been closed in connection with November's terror attacks in France's capital, Paris, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.

The decision was taken to avoid propagation of radical discourse, the minister said.

Minister Cazeneuve also stated that 22 people have been prohibited from travelling abroad and nine people have been placed under house arrest.

Last week, two mosques in Lyon and Gennevilliers provinces were closed. The third mosque closed was Seine et Marne Mosque.

Within a state of emergency declared on November 14, operations were performed in 2,235 points in France.

232 people were taken into custody during operations.

France on high alert

On November 13, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks occurred in Paris. Three suicide bombers struck near the stadium, followed by suicide bombings and mass shootings at cafes, restaurants and a concert hall.

The attackers killed 127 people, including dozens at the Bataclan theatre where they took hostages. Hundreds of people were injured in the incidents.

Daesh claimed responsibility for the attacks, saying it was in retaliation for the French airstrikes on Daesh targets in Syria and Iraq. A state of emergency was declared over the incident.

France has been on high alert ever since the attacks on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper and a kosher supermarket in Paris in January killed 18 people.
