Turkish forces hit Daesh targets in Aleppo

As many as 45 Daesh terrorists killed, five fire positions and mortar bombs destroyed during Turkish air operation conducted by coalition forces

Turkish military has hit Daesh terrorist targets in northern Aleppo of Syria as the Daesh terrorists were making preparations for firing rockets.



As many as 45 Daesh terrorists were killed, five fire positions and mortar bomb were destroyed during the Turkish fire in the air operation conducted by coalition forces.



The operations were conducted in the Dudiyan, Chakka, Jariz, Baragidah, Kafrah, Kara Köprü and Yahmul regions.



Previously, as many as 28 Daesh terrorists were killed Wednesday night in separate operations by Turkish Armed Forces and US-led coalition forces.



Turkey intensified counterterror efforts after Kilis was repeatedly targeted by Daesh rockets. At least 20 people have been killed by cross-border missiles since January 1.



About 2,000 terrorists have been killed in Syria and Iraq since August 2015 with as many as 470,000 people killed since the beginning of the five-year-long Syrian civil war.



Since then, 6.5 million Syrians have been internally displaced, and 5 million forced to emigrate.
