A total of 18 Daesh terrorists were neutralized in northern Syria over the last 24 hours as part of the Euphrates Shield Operation, the Turkish military said on Monday.
The Turkish Air Force carried out airstrikes on eight Daesh targets, destroying five buildings, two bomb-laden vehicles and one command control center. Six handmade explosives were defused.
Turkish Armed Forces and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) are pushing forward in the Suflaniyap and Kabr al-Mukri regions of Al-Bab with Turkish artillery and jets.
The aim of the operation is to improve security, support coalition forces and eliminate the threat of terror along Turkey's border.
Since the launch of the operation on August 24, 43 landmines and 2,927 makeshift explosives have been defused.
