The Turkish military destroyed 107 Daesh targets and neutralized 13 Daesh terrorists in northern Syria in the past 24 hours as part of the ongoing Euphrates Shield Operation, the military said on Tuesday.

Hideouts, shelters, defense positions, command control centers, weapons and vehicles were destroyed by the Turkish troops' shelling.

Turkish jets also hit Daesh targets, destroying nine terrorist shelters in nine airstrikes.

The Daesh terrorist organization was also targeted by U.S.-backed coalition jets that carried out five airstrikes across the Bzagah and Kabr al Murki areas. As a result, one ammunition loaded vehicle, one building and two mortars were destroyed.

The Turkish military has been surrounding the Daesh controlled town of al-Bab for weeks, as part of the ongoing Euphrates Shield Operation.

The Turkish-led Euphrates Shield Operation, aided by the Free Syrian Army (FSA), was launched in late August to improve security, support coalition forces, and eliminate the terror threat along Turkey's border.

Tuesday marks the 154th day of the operation, backed by Turkish artillery and jets. The Euphrates Shield Operation cleared an area of 1,100 square kilometers within its first 50 days, and has since secured additional areas, bringing the amount of the total area to 2,000 square kilometers.
