Sources in Syria’s al-Hasakah reported that approximately 100 trucks carrying military aid were transported through the Semalka border crossing on the Iraq-Syria border in broad daylight on Tuesday and delivered to the PKK/PYD terrorist organization.

The convoy, which arrived in al-Hasakah, included Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) model armored military vehicles. A variety of heavy weapons can be attached to MRAPs.

The trucks were reportedly sent to PKK/PYD terrorists in Deir ez-Zor.

In a military shipment on the night of Sept. 11, about 100 trucks, including four-wheel drive pickup trucks, were transported in closed containers. The convoy, which included fuel tankers, was covered in tarpaulin, hence the other materials being transported could not be seen.

Since early June, when military shipments from the U.S. to the PKK/PYD started to be monitored and reported, the shipments were transported at night by trucks covered in tarpaulin.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.

A total of 400 trucks were sent from Iraq to al-Hasakah, which is occupied by the PKK/PYD, at night on the Aug. 13, Aug. 17, Aug. 21, Sept. 3 and Sept. 8. The contents of these shipments remain unknown.

The PKK/PYD received hundreds of trucks of military equipment in June, July, and August. Since June, the U.S. has provided the terrorist organization with 621 trucks of military equipment and weapons under the guise of fighting against Daesh.

The PKK has been conducting armed violence in the southeastern part of Turkey since 1984. More than 40,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the three-decade long conflict.
