Thirty-nine Daesh suspects remanded in Istanbul

A counterterrorism operation launched by the Istanbul Security Directorate Anti-Terror Branch targeting the Daesh terrorist organization remanded 39 suspects, 32 of whom were foreign nationals.

The operation targeted terror suspects who were supporters of Daesh and transferred terrorists to conflict zones.

Simultaneous raids were conducted across 15 different addresses across eight Istanbul districts.

Over 319 people have lost their lives in Daesh attacks in Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket and gun attacks.
