Arrest warrants have been issued for scores of terrorists in the Turkish city Istanbul, as a part of the investigation against the coupist Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ).

A number of the total suspects were detained in simultaneous raids that were conducted by the Istanbul police.

The detainees were reported to be members of 'female branch' of the terrorist organization.

Some of the detainees were discovered to be ByLock users, too.

The Bylock program is a cell phone application that has been used by the terrorist organization since 2014 for conducting secret writing and messaging.

Turkey has been conducting an extensive investigation on FETÖ following the coup bid of July 15, which targeted the democratically-elected Turkish government.

Tens of thousands of people were detained in the investigation following the coup bid and many more were removed from public duty in post-coup bid purges.

The coup bid was led by Fetullah Gülen, the leader of FETÖ, who is currently in the U.S.

Turkey has been demanding the immediate extradition of the terrorist leader from the U.S., as the talks continue between the two countries.
