He talked to his wife Pınar Denizcioğlu on the phone on the night of July 15th and said, “We know these traitors. We will go into the streets as well, we won’t let these looters tear us apart. Just voting is not enough.”

Denizcioğlu walked towards the Presidential Complex with his cousins to fight the putschist traitors. He was martyred as a result of the shots fired by the helicopter. Denizcioğlu was the first martyr brought to the Ankara Atatürk Hospital. His wife received the news when she came to Ankara on Sunday.
