According to a survey conducted by ANAR in 26 provinces with 5,190 respondents between Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 in 2014, with the inclusion of hesitant votes in response to the question, “If the elections were held today, which party would you vote for?” 47 percent said they would vote for the Justice and Development Party (AK Party), 25 percent said the Republican People’s Party (CHP), 14 percent said the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and 7.8 percent said they would vote for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP). The remaining group said they would vote for other parties.

In a survey conducted by ANAR in 26 provinces with 5,200 respondents a month after the Aug. 10 presidential election, between Sept. 2 and Sept. 8, 51.7 percent of survey respondents said they believed that if the general elections were held again today, the AK Party would be the leading party and come to power alone. According to the survey, the CHP’s votes stood at 24.7 percent, while the MHP received 12.1 percent, the HDP 8.2 percent and other parties received 3.3 percent of votes.

ANAR conducted a survey ahead of the local elections in 81 provinces with 121,000 respondents. According to ANAR’s February survey, the AK Party came first with 48.6 percent, the CHP came second with 24.9 percent of votes, followed by the MHP and Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) receiving 15.7 percent and 7.4 percent of the votes, respectively, with only 3.4 percent voting for other parties.
