Police commissioner Turgut Solak, who was on duty at the Gölbaşı Special Operations Headquarters on the July 15th coup attempt, was martyred after one of the bomb attacks, led by FETÖ traitors.
Turgut worked at the Gölbaşı Special Operations Headquarters as a police commissioner. He was exposed to the attacks by the FETÖ traitors all night long, and was eventually martyred alongside his colleagues, fighting the putschists.
He was buried in the neighborhood Ovabayındır Kırsal of the district Altıeylül in Balıkesir, after his funeral prayer was held.

Turgut was known for his devotion to his job, and his love for his country and people. He served in Hakkari and Afghanistan, during his missions under Special Operations. He was 38 years old, was married, and was the father of 5 year old Alper and 9 year old Beyza.
The name Martyr Turgut Solak was given to a science high school in his hometown, Balıkesir.
