Its co-spokespersons are Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar and İbrahim Akın. During the period when the possibility of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) being closed down by the Constitutional Court was on the agenda, the party logo was changed for the first time on October 16, 2022 at a congress. Later on March 14, 2023, Selahattin Demirtaş stated that if the HDP were to be closed down, HDP candidates for parliament would run on the lists of the Green Left Party in the 2023 general elections. On March 24, 2023, following the decision taken, the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), the Labour Party (EHP) and the Social Freedom Party (TÖP) decided to run in the 2023 general elections on the lists of the Green Left Party. Later on April 6, 2023, the Labour Party (EMEP) also decided to run in the general elections on the lists of the Green Left Party.
