Police officer Eyüp Oğuz, who worked at the Ankara Gölbaşı Special Operations Department Headquarters, was martyred by a bomb dropped from an F-16 controlled by the FETÖ traitors on the night of July 15th. The martyr Oğuz had served on several tasks in many cities in the Southeast as part of the war against terrorism.

Oğuz grew up in Elazığ and finished his military service as a commando after completing his education. After that, he worked as a close guard in the Diyarbakır Governorship. He had been working at the Ankara Gölbaşı Special Operations Department Headquarters since 2006. Oğuz, who faced death many times in the Southeast while fighting terrorism, worked in many districts like Nusaybin, Sur and Cizre.

He has been fighting with terrorists for 22 years

Eyüp Oğuz, who was 45 years old and one of the heroic martyrs of Gölbaşı, fought against terrorism in 12 cities and 3 countries over the span of his 22-year career. Eyüp Oğuz, who was a father of 2 sons, loved his job as much as he loved his family. Oğuz served his job with tremendous dedication.

When Oğuz’s body was delivered to his family, the lower part of his body, the backside of his jaw and half of his right arm was missing.

His funeral was held in the Elazığ İzzetpaşa Mosque. Mawlid was read for Martyr Eyüp Oğuz in the Elazığ Veysel Karani mosque after he was buried in the Harput Graveyard.

The name of Martyr Eyüp Oğuz was given to an Imam Hatip high school in Elazığ.

Colonel Ahmet Tosun ordered the putschist who attacked the Gölbaşı Special Forces Command to drop a bomb. The first aircraft commanded by Pilot Colonel Mustafa Azimetli and Ekrem Aydogdu marked the spot with a laser, while the second aircraft commanded by Mehmet Çetin Kaplan and Ertan Koral bombarded the ground. The first bombings killed 17 police officers.

In the 15 July resistance, a total of 248 people, from 59 provinces, fell as martyrs. The five cities that had the most martyrs were Ankara, Istanbul, Yozgat, Çorum and Rize .
