Dışişleri Bakanı Yaşar Yakış, asker gönderme ve bulundurma konusunda yeni bir tezkerenin Meclis'e sevkedilip edilmeyeceğini değerlendirdiklerini söyledi. AK Parti grup toplantısı öncesinde gazetecilerin, "Tezkerenin yeniden gelme ihtimali var mı?" sorusunu cevaplayan Yakış, konunun hem AK Parti hem de hükümette değerlendirildiğini, bu süreç bittiğinde yeni bir tezkerenin sunulup sunulmayacağının ortaya çıkacağını bildirdi. Yakış, ABD ile görüşmelerin "bırakıldığı yerde durduğunu" da belirterek, "Bazı beklediğimiz cevaplar vardı, onlar daha gelmemişti. Yeniden canlandığı zaman bakacağız" dedi. Başbakan Yardımcısı Ertuğrul Yalçınbayır da, Başbakanlık tezkeresi konusunda Meclis'te çıkan kararın AK Parti ve hükümet içinde herhangi bir rahatsızlığa yol açmadığını belirterek, "Yeni şartlar varsa yeni tezkere yine gündeme gelebilir. Bu doğaldır" dedi.
