Is SP leader Karamollaoğlu both an enemy of Erdogan and a betrayer of Erbakan?

The Justice and Development Party (AK Party), the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), the Grand Unity Party (BBP), and the New Welfare Party (YRP), united to establish the new format of the People’s Alliance, and announced they would continue to join their powers to win the 2023 double elections under the alliance. It was stated that this union is based not on leadership and rank negotiations, but rather on moral and political compromise, and the national position taken against the internal and foreign hostile attempts against Türkiye is official. The objective to make Türkiye a leader in every aspect of our republic’s new century, and to make the century Türkiye’s century as the People’s Alliance with ambition and decision was clearly presented.

WHY DID NEW WELFARE PARTY’S DECISION TO JOIN PEOPLE’S ALLIANCE CAUSE PANIC IN NATION ALLIANCE, MEDIA?

An expired statement made decades ago by then Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan criticizing the AK Party within the conjunctural conditions of the time is recalled in efforts to prevent the “synergy” that will be produced with the YRP joining the People’s Alliance. The National Alliance media, which is disturbed by the important contribution YRP leader Fatih Erbakan will make to the 2023 double election, are ruthlessly criticizing Erbakan. In fact, Felicity Party (SP) leader Temel Karamollaoğlu is trying to hit below the belt by presenting the question of whom Fatih Erbakan betrayed. Yet the decisions Karamollaoğlu is making in the FP, which is swarmed by Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) members, the alliance with the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), and the relations established is making the party's founder, the late Erbakan turn in his grave. Besides Karamollaoğlu’s hostility towards President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, he is betraying Erbakan at every opportunity. His latest betrayal was in relation to the scandalous statements he made about Hagia Sophia. Karamollaoğlu’s latest statements on a television program that Hagia Sophia’s status as a mosque cannot be changed, but a section may be opened to tourist visits, drew a great public reaction. Hagia Sophia was changed on July 10, 2020, with a decree signed by Erdoğan from a museum into a mosque again. While the Hagia Sophia gained back its real identity with this decision, it triggered panic in the opposition. While the CHP made a fuss with the influence of the Christian world and demanded that the Hagia Sophia remain as a museum, the Peoples’ Democracy Party (HDP) and FETÖ went far and said it must be converted into a church. We don't know if Karamollaoğlu had the same thing on his mind, but upon the reaction from the National Vision (MG) party leaders and electorate, he had no choice but to state Hagia Sophia’s gains could not be reversed.

In his Marvelous Hagia Sophia Mosque statement, the MG’s late leader Prof. Erbakan had said, “If the Hagia Sophia is painted in red, made to resemble a church, if there is no Muslim calls to the prayer made from it, and if there are no Muslims observing prayers in it, let it be known that Türkiye is in the hands of imitators! Let it be known that the sole order on the earth is the order of oppression. On the contrary, if the call to prayer is recited loud and clear at Hagia Sophia if the Lord’s truth is declared to the whole world, then let it be known that Türkiye is in the hands of the National Visionists, the believers, and the world is run by a just welfare order!”

AGREEMENT ON COMMON POLICIES COMMITTEE CHAIR HASAN YASAR CLAIMED SP LEADER TEMEL KARAMOLLAOGLU DOES NOT REPRESENT NATIONAL VISION VALUES.

Yaşar, who claimed that SP Chair Karamollaoğlu does not represent MG values, said, “The Felicity Party today is producing policies contradicting the values advocated by Mr. Necmettin Erbakan. The table’s common policies include full EU membership, transferring the solution in Cyprus to the UN, and economic order with interest, but not a single positive article regarding our Palestine cause. In that respect, the agreement on common policies consists of articles which the SP signed, but the MG has not only been objecting to but also fighting against for half a century.” The MG movement does not consist of the SP alone. The MG comprises 27 institutions. The SP is only one of these. As many as 90 percent of the SP electorate do not agree with the administration anyway. It is right for Karamollaoğlu to say he represents the SP’s institutional identity, but it is wrong for him to say he represents the MG.

YRP CHAIR FATIH ERBAKAN’S DECISION TO JOIN PEOPLE’S ALLIANCE IS VERY BRAVE. THE POLITICAL MOVEMENT HE LAUNCHED WITH THE PEOPLE’S SUPPORT HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD

Fatih Erbakan already conquered people's hearts by siding with President Erdoğan, who opened Hagia Sophia to worship as a mosque – which was his late father, Prime Minister, and MG leader Erbakan’s dream – who built a mosque in Taksim, established Quran lessons in schools, and saved his father Erbakan from prison. He thus launched his political movement, which, by the grace of God, will have hundreds of deputies and power. Most importantly, the D-8 Muslim organization for economic cooperation, which was established 25 years ago by his father Necmettin Erbakan, gaining strength, the number of members in the organization being increased first to 30 countries, then to 60, and 160, the D-8, D-60, D-160 decision, taking over what his father started with respect to these countries making joint production, establishing a market among themselves, becoming powerful in the Islamic world and creating their own currency, is an important message to those who criticize him! I congratulate and wish success to MG’s new leader, YRP Chairman Fatih Erbakan.
