Temizlik İşleri Müdürlüğü, ekiplerince toplanan atıklar hurda olarak satıldı. Yaklaşık 2,5 ay içinde toplanan 70 ton kağıttan elde edilen 30 bin defter, ilçedeki okullarda öğrencilere ücretsiz olarak dağıtıldı. Kampanyanın devam etmesi için belediye, 100 kilo kağıt getiren her öğrenciye çeyrek altın hediye edileceğini açıkladı. Esenler Menderes İlköğretim Okulu'nda yapılan defter dağıtım töreninde konuşan Belediye Başkanı Mehmet Öcalan, proje sayesinde milli servetin değerlendirildiğini söyledi. Proje ile velilere ekonomik katkıda bulunduklarını söyleyen esenler Belediye Başkanı Öcalan, bu kağıtlardan elde edilen defterlerin önümüzdeki günlerde öğrencilere dağıtılmaya devam edileceğini söyledi.",
