Türkiye Doping Kontrol Merkezi Başkanı Prof. Dr. Aytekin Temizer'in TBMM Şike Komisyonu'nda gündeme getirdiği ve Yeni Şafak'ın dün manşetten duyurduğu, 1971-1974 tarihleri arasında Galatasaray'da forma giyen futbolculara doping ilacı verildiği iddiası, futbol dünyasını karıştırdı. O dönemde Galatasaray'da oynayan "Yıldo" lakaplı Yıldırım Benayyat, Teknik Direktör Brian Birch'in kendilerine ilaç verdiği doğrulayarak, "Bize verilen ilacın doping mi, vitamin mi olduğunu bilmiyorum" dedi. Birch'in teknik direktörlüğü döneminde ilk 11'de fazla yer bulamadığını anlatan Yıldo, "Aradan 30 yıl geçmiş. Şimdi yeniden niye gündeme getiriliyor. En iyisi susmak lazım. Şimdi yeniden gündem oluşturulmak isteniyor. Bence bu yanlış" diye konuştu. Israrlı sorularımız karşısında o dönemde futbolcuların ilaç aldığını kabul eden Yıldo, "Kardeşim sen ilaç almıyor musun? Bize de ilaç veriliyordu. Bunun vitamin mi yoksa doping mi olduğunu nereden bileceksin? Bunu tespit etmek çok zor" dedi.
